AI Data Annotation Specialist (South African Languages)

About the Role

You will annotate audio, text and image datasets used to train AI and speech recognition systems. South African language fluency is the core requirement — technical background is not required.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe and label audio in assigned SA languages
• Tag named entities, sentiment and intent in text data
• Review and correct AI-generated annotations
• Meet daily annotation targets with high accuracy

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in at least one SA language (isiZulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans, Xhosa, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Computer literacy and a reliable internet connection
• Ability to meet flexible daily output targets
