From Freedom Charter to Fourth Industrial Revolution: South Africa builds what the world needs.
In 1955, the Congress of the People gathered in Kliptown, Johannesburg and adopted the Freedom Charter. It declared that South Africa belongs to all who live in it. Seven decades later, that declaration has its clearest economic expression in the BPO sector: thousands of South Africans doing skilled knowledge work for global enterprises, earning competitive salaries, building careers and proving that talent knows no geography. Corpshore South Africa exists within and because of that story.
South Africa’s BPO industry employs over 270,000 people across six cities. It contributes more than R8 billion to national GDP annually. The government has backed it consistently through the Special Economic Zones Act, the dti BPO incentive programme and the Presidency’s Operation Phakisa digitisation agenda. When UK, US, Australian and European firms ask where they should anchor their offshore operations, South Africa answers with infrastructure, talent and credentials. Corpshore adds ranked credibility to that answer.
We are not parachuted in from a foreign headquarters with no understanding of this country. We operate from within South Africa’s regulatory environment, its B-BBEE framework and its labour market. We understand the Employment Equity Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Protection of Personal Information Act. We speak the languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana. We deliver them at scale for clients on five continents.
Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu. A person is a person through other people. This philosophy shapes how we build every client relationship and every team.
